This Troll Fortress was the table used in the Lock and Load Warmachine and Hordes World Championships. It was a large project taking months to complete with many scratch built components. All of the buildings and rocks were cut from pink insulation foam, with wood filler putty for the stucco surfaces. The trees are a mix of hand made trees and pre-built model trees. The stakes around the fort were made and then cast in resin.  The scattered rune stones were sculpted and then cast in resin as well. The wind mills blades were made out of bass wood and then covered with thin paper towels soaked in PVA glue. The whole board is 4'x6' with a 4'x4' play area and a 2'x4' display diorama end cap which is removable. The whole piece can be disassemble for shipping with magnets to lock the elements into place.
